by its roots.

The white berries are important for birds as they can be found
in times when there is very litle food to be found.
The seeds is sticky and sprread by berrie-eating birds.
The seeds stick to branches and form roots.
The Mistletoe and Christmas
Some plants attract attention in the winter. The evergreen plant
like Mistletoe play a role in the rite of Christmas, the feast
that marks the darkest period in the year.
Wintertime : Mistle has grown into a Hawthorn, one can see its
yellow berries and one dark red berry;br:
belonging to the common Hawthorn
Mistletoe forms a dense bush.
The white berries in spring
Mistletoe penetrates the wood deeply
and uses the fluids of the tree it lives on.
But this causes little or no harm at all.
Under the Mistletoe, pearly and green
Meet the kind lips of the young and the old;
Under the Mistletoe hearts may be seen
Glowing as though
they had never been cold.
