Sea Buckthorn
A shrub that can be found in the dunes and near the sea,
like its name already suggested.
The Sea Buckthorn has long and deep going roots,
useful for collecting water and preventing
the sand to blow away. The sea blackthorn also has a
symbiotic relations with nitrogen-binding bacteria,
that provide nitrates for the blackthorn. And without
those bacteria the Sea Buckthorn can't form its berries.
