A rather red beetle that is common in Europe.
It can be found resting or mating on flowers,
particularly the Wild carrot
about the soldier beetle
The red color is a warning sign that the soldier beetle
contains a strong poison. As they don't have to fear
birds they are not afraid to mate on the top of a flower.
