Garden Yellow Loosestrife

The Garden Loosestrife grows on poor moist grounds
preferable in the near of water, a ditch or a
pond. This is a strong herb that has spread
around the world and nowaday can be found on
every continent.

This herb has two ways of propagation: by the use of
rhizomes or by seed. The rhizomes are fast growing and
can easely extend some meters. These
rhizomes can also find their way through the water
and have a red appereance.

The pond will be invaded by emergent plants such as
Phragmites (reed-grasses), Typha (cattail), and purple ,
loosestrive transforming the pond into the
Sedge-meadow stage.

depend on the Garden Loosestrife.
