Marsh marigold or Kingcup
A harsh perenial succulent with kidney shaped dark
green leaves, and hollow stems.
The Marsh Marigold prefers marshes or moist soil.
Flowering of Kingcup
This plants starts flowering at the beginning of the spring.
The yellow flowers grow on long stalks , and can be seen
at the start of the spring. The flowers have a bright yellow
color, and look like those of the buttercup. Bees and flies
visit the flowers. The seeds float on water.
The unripe seedbox of or Kingcup becomes visible after the flowers have dissapeared.
