Cladonia floerkeana or British soldier

A small, but bright red colored cup lichen that can be found
in fields and sand dunes. Its length is about half a centimeter.

confusion with other cup lichen

C fluorkeana can be confused with other cup lichen,
like red pixy moss.
But red pixie moss has larger and broader apothecia.
