Fly Amanita



The Fly Amanita is a common mushroom with a red cap ,
covered with white dots. The red color is a warning sign that
this mushroom is poisonous , but less dangerous then once thought.
The Fly Amanita contains hallucinogenic substances.



This fly Amanita has liberated itself from the velum
universale, the scale of the "egg"

The fly Amanita can be found in Birch and fir woodland.
The mycellium of Fly amanita livesin symbiosis with the
roots of the Birch.

Fly Amanita and its poison



The fly Amanita in middle Europe contains the
poison muscarine, but in a low amount.
The Fly Amanite in Siberia contains much more
muscarine.








Fly Amanite and ibotenic acid.

Fly Amanite contains small amounts of ibotenic
acid , a substance that induces hallicunations.
Ibotenic intoxication resembles alcohol intoxication,
with an euphoric state followed by a deep sleep.
