An herbaceous, small perennial plant, widespread in open woods
bottom of the woods. But is has become a popular plant in
gardens because of its early flowering, its lovely flowers and
white spickled leaves.

Lungwort flowers early in spring with both pink
and blue flowers on the same plant.
The most important way of propagation is by its
long rhizomes.










The young pink flowers and the old blue flowers
from the lungwort at the start of april. These flowers
grow in a small umbel on a thick, hairy stem.

The white-speckled foliage can easely be seen.
