Apennine Windflower

This is a herb that can be found in the woods in the spring.
But during summertime it has dissapeared, dying back down to its
root-like rhizomes. As it grows in large groups , connected by
those rhizomes, larger areas can be colored blue.

Grecian Windflower or Anemone blanda

The Apennine Windflower strongly resembles the Grecian Windflower,
but has hairs on its flower. Also : the blue anemoon keeps
its stem rightup after the flowering period.
