Flowering rush or Butomus umbellatus

Flowering rush is a perennial waterplant that grows in shallow areas
of the pond as an emergent, and as a submersed form in water up to
10 feet deep. When it forms dense stands it looks like bulrush.
The emergent form has pink, umbellate-shaped flowers.

propagation

Flowering rush reproduces by seed production in late summer
or by the vegetative spread of its rootstocks
