Wallflower or Erysimum cheiri

A perennial herb that grows on old walls build with the use of lime.
( modern walls contain th acid Portland.
But the wallflwers
grows easely on moist soil , has beautiful flowers en spread .
a lovely smell.

The wallflower on an old wall in Leuven, Groot Begijnhof. This wall
is 500 year old and covered with plaster.

The flowers open early in the evening until the next day..
