| Connah's Quay and the Faroes Cup winners have been taken out of the Preliminary Round ,which they would surely have won and put directly into Q1 where they are 93rd and 94th seeds and surely will not win.
In effect they have been fined E220,000 for winning there cup.Surely if a team is given a bye they should still collect the prizemoney they would have won if not given a bye. |

| I think most of the money would have been "lost" in costs for the away match. EL-QR's usually don't bring a lot of money for the clubs. |

| Its a huge amount of money for some nations. For winning the League of Ireland you only recieve 100,000 euro.
Cork City winning the League last season will recieve a payment of about 800,000 from UEFA. Thats some difference. |

| Well, first of all there's no difference between them and, say, the cup winners of Latvia in this context. All of them are teams that would've benefitted from starting in the PR. The only difference is that Latvia was sure about this and for Ireland it was a 50-50 (or whatever the odds were at the time) With this I find it more reasonable to just discuss the additional pay for the teams that start early instead of the allocation change (which federations and clubs do expect anyway).
So, the system isn't supposed to be just and the clubs knew about this in advance. If it is indeed profitable for a club to start in an early stage then they could've and might've attempted losing cup/league games on purpose, losing UEFA coefficient points on purpose or even "asking" UEFA about "worse" allocations for their federation when they discussed the 2018-21 format. Not without risks naturally.
The current system is fair because it rewards the product the teams create (the games themselves) and not something that lacks value in itself such as the strength of the club on the field |

| The countries ranked from 48th downwards will gain more points, some of them could even overcome some higher-ranked countries like Georgia, Armenia and Montenegro, Estonia and Latvia. |

| That's ok, because then those that were overcame will have a chance to get more points.
I forget, is it better to be higher, or to be lower and play more rounds and get more points to possibly get higher? It's confusing. |
