| I wonder if someone can answer this please? When a domestic cup winner has already qualified for the CL & is replaced by the next eligible placed club in the domestic league, does the replacement team directly replace the cup winner in the access list, as it were? That is to say, in the same position in the access list as the cup winner would have been, or do all the other clubs effectively move up one & the replacement club becomes the lowest ranked entry from that association.
My question also exists when the CW qualifies for the EL in domestic league competition. Do they take their place based on the best qualifying round they have reached via either winning the cup, or placing in the league?
Thanks in advance. |

| When a domestic cup winner has already qualified for Champions League, the replacement team plays at the stage previously reserved for the lowest-ranked team from domestic league and all other teams move up accordingly.
Domestic cup winner has always the highest priority of all teams qualified for Europa League from given association, so it starts at the stage reserved for the cup winner. |

| The replacement gets the lowest EL-spot of that country. |
