| As Bert mentions... and let me paraphrase... Teams in the first rounds are usually divided into a number of groups based on geographical criteria. For the draw of the qualification round the 82 teams are divided into 10 groups. Does anyone know which team is in which group? |

| Oops what an error made by Uefa they shorten 'Serbia&Montenegro' to YUG. |
Author: Juda
Date: 20-06-2003, 08:35
| Yes Ricardo I saw that and I don't understood that too. And I forgot to changed that-from "YUG"(Yugoslavia)-to "SMN"(Serbia & Montenegro). |

| Is SMN not San Marino? and SRB Serbia&Montenegro? |
Author: Juda
Date: 20-06-2003, 09:00
| Noooooo Ricardo. SMN-Serbia(S) and Montenegro(MN)...... San Marino it's SMR-San(S) and Marino(MR) SRB not could be because where "Montenegro"? SRB it's just "Serbia". So it's "SMN". |

| Sorry, I looked at Bert's shortens(In the team-coefficient): Srb for Serbia and Montnegro and Sma for San Marino
P.S. for Bert: Will you be adding the participating teams to the teamcoefficient or is there a general rule on your list that teams that has no 'personal' points are not shown on the list. |

| Would this draw affect the last day in the Danish league? I guess not, all can be overtaken by the Danish, but it could have been that Danish Nr3 had an easier draw then Nr2 and then it would be 'better' to finsh 3rd.! |

| Ricardo,
Each participating team will be added to the yearly coefficients. But only teams with one or more 'personal' points in the last five years are listed in the 5-year team ranking.
You're right, I use 'Srb' as the shortened country name. But that's propably not right. It was just a guess. I did see 'Sam' (propably at uefa.com). I thought that was too confusing with 'Sma' for San Marino. But now I think that I will have to change it some time.
And I don't believe Juda. Unless he has some kind of evidence |

| Juda is right, uefa.com used SMN a few times, for example here.
I too confused it with San Marino seeing it for the first time, think SRB (or SBM if Montenegro shouldn't be ommited) would be better. |

| I was also confused when I saw SMN for the first time (btw, I'm from SMN or SRB or SAM or ... :-)) Don't worry too much about this because the abbreviation is just temporary for the current and maybe the next year, so it'll be obsolete very soon. Then we have to construct a new one... |

| Obviously I was wrong not to believe Juda. SMN is used at uefa.com.
But please Juda, and all other posters, if possible, put some evidence with your posts. It's really easy to put a link. Just type displayed-text.
And it should be mentioned that uefa.com is at least not consistent. They also use SAM. |

| Look Bert UEFA site changed that all the time and it's ok that you or all partners here don't believe me becuase it's:SAM,SMN and even YUG so I like SMN and I wrote that... About the San Marino it's always be SMR but is this changed I will cahnge that too. And example:Faroe Islands in UEFA site they wrote "FAR" but I don't like it because it's always was "FRO" so I wrote "FRO" and you believe me and you understand from where is the club. |
