Edited by: bugylibicska at: 25-10-2013, 05:19 | With today`s draw Shakhter Karagandy lifted Kazakhstan`s coefficient to 3.125 point. In the last 4 years they produced: 1.250 0.875 1.625 1.375 so, this 3.125 beats their two best years combined together! And there`re still 3 more games to come. And Shakhter have 5.400 points, very probably enough to be seeded in the 1st two rounds of EL next season (if they qualify). And Aktobe have 8.150 points, surely enough to be seeded in the 2nd round of CL (first time ever for a Kazakh team). It looks they`ll be almost certain champions this year. This highlights the importance of every half point gained in the ranking. |

| Cup final: Shakhter Karagandy - Taraz on November 9th. So, Shakhter must win the final to get the ticket to Europe, because Aktobe lost at home to Taraz. I was hoping Aktobe would prevail and Karagandy have no worries about winning, because Aktobe most probably set to become champions. One more round left in the championship and Aktobe are 3 points ahead of Astana. The 3rd and last European spot will be decided in the game between Kairat Almaty and Irtysh Pavlodar. Shakhter Karagandy have no chance to reach Europe through the championship. Last round: Shakhter-Astana, Aktobe-Ordabasy and Irtysh-Kairat. |

Edited by: SirHenri at: 02-11-2013, 12:12 | Aktobe should be Champions with the following rule (source wiki)
"Two team tiebreak: 1st overall wins"
Aktobe is 3 points ahead and has two more wins than Astana.
Or am I wrong ?!? |

| I was searching yesterday and I`ve found the same information, overall more wins decide a tiebreak, so Aktobe should have been there before today`s games, but found nothing on their website that would indicate they`re already celebrating. Anyway, after today`s games of the last round Aktobe are crowned champions. So, they enter the 2nd round of CL, while Astana and Kairat Almaty start in the 1st round of EL. The cup final decide about the 4th team for Europe between Shakhter Karagandy and Taraz. |

| Shakhter Karagandy lost - not a surprise - vs. Alkmaar away, so no extra point for Kazakhstan. What surprised me is their teamsheet, a few first choice players missing, maybe they spared them for the cup final vs. Taraz coming on the 10th (in 3 days!!!) of November. That`s their last chance to secure a spot for Europe next season, but why couldn`t they play the final a few days later since the championship is already over. |

| Shakhter Karagandy won the cup final 1:0 vs. Taraz so they`ll play in Europe again next season. |

| I think so, too. They deserve another chance after their good performance this season. And the country will have a more experienced team, most probably seeded in the 1st two rounds in the EL. So, it`s a double blessing. |

| Shakhter Karagandy lost their last two games vs. PAOK Salonika (0:2) at home and Maccabi Haifa (1:2) away. So, no more points gained, but still, it should be considered a very successful year and luckily they`ve secured their participation in the EL for next season by winning the cup. |
