And Dinamo-Genk seem to add to the fight more contact.
Actually I was afraid of this battle, and Metalist`s shame just brought it sooner than expected.

what you mean 9th- direct place in CL?
there is no difference whatsoever between 9th and 10th for champions league.
are you talking about the new access list for 2015 wich we didn't see yet?

Right, but there is an additional EL-team, so that's an important border anyway 9/10. But I think Ukraine will hold on, but may in two years it will get interesting if Belgium can makes some descent results continously.

The question is if that extra EL team will still be there from 2015 onwards. When UEFA anounced the changes that will be made from 2015 to the access list it was mentioned that no country will have more then 3 teams in EL. What this will mean for 7th-9th place on the ranking is still unclear. Will they have only total 5 teams left? Or will some of them get an extra CL team?

I would love the fact Belgium challenging for the 9th place, but I see no chances for Belgium to become 9th (in the near future).

* Shaktor D + Din Kiev are much better than Belgian teams.
* PSV prooved to be much better than Belgian n°2.
* Belgium will lose more points from the '9-10 season than Ukrain.

If you only look at the last 2,5 seasons, this is an open game between Holland-Ukrain-Belgium, but even the Chec - Suisse - Turkey and Romania wouldn'd be far away.

I am from belgium and i hope that belgium never will be in top 9.
And honestly, we have not the strength and the money for top 9.
Spot 10-11-12 that is our place and if we can keep that i will be very happy.
But withou the failure of club brugge we could have all the 5 teams in the group phase, but every year a club failes in the qualifying rounds, normally the little clubs but now club brugge, but zulte waregem dit it as unseeded club.
5 teams and 1 champions league spot directly.
That is perfect for a country of 11 million people and just 16 teams in first division.

6 teams will only drop belgium down a few years later with the risk of falling out top 12 and goobye direct spot champions league.
