Date: 09-08-2013, 14:18 | Portugal got as lucky as it gets. Estoril drawing Pasching must be a delight to them. It's worth noticing that the other Austrian clubs got matched with the last hopes of two countries. Salzburg vs Zalgiris (commendable performance so far from the Lithuanians coming from Q1). Rapid vs Dila Gori (Dinamo Tbilisi are as good as dead vs Spurs). Another interesting topic is Romanian teams. 3 small fish who have made the Romanian coefficient climb in a heartbeat (along with Steaua) have varying degrees of difficulty in this round. Swansea-Braga-Maccabi Haifa, in that order for me. Could've been worse. |

Both cup winners in their countries. Luckily there are no low league teams left, so from next round they will have to start playing against serious opponents Since the CLQ system changed, any Austrian champion qualified to GS.(Pretty suprising for the 15th ranked country). This year Austria Wien has a great oppurtunity to finally qualify (hosting second match against Dinamo Zagreb). (even though a similar draw already happened, and resulted in failure: 2011/12 PO, Sturm Graz hosting BATE after 1-1 in Belarus, and losing 2-0 ). Cyprus are in real danger of remining without any teams in GS, after Apoel and Apollon Limassol got tricky draws: Zulte Waregem and Nice. |
