| Has anyone of you ever seen such boring round?
No extra times, no penalty shoot-out, no big surprises, almost all seeded teams advance, just few goals per game in average, many teams even unable to score in two games, many H2H ended with 2 victories for one team and all in all QR3 as predictable as the weather forecast of a city in the desert. =(
The worst is that it is like this for years and it pi**es me off all the time!
Anyone feels like this, too?
I just wonder what football is made for if the result is clear before the game has even started.. |

| It wasn't so bad at the start though. 9 of the ties there was only 1 goal or no goals between the teams after the first leg. 5 ties were settled by a goal or away goals. It's not as if the seeds were just sweeping the unseeds aside.
I think it didn't help this time that there was a clear gulf between the seeds on the league path and the unseeds. None of those ties had only a goal difference. It was very predictable. |

| Well, honestly, now that you say it, it could also be an overall impression for the last years and other rounds, too. That does not make it less stupid to me.

| Let's check it out. This year 2 seeds fell and 5 games were settled by a single goal or less.
Last year only 2 matches were settled by a single goal. There was one match less with the Chelsea thing. 3 seeds lost.
11/12, 5 matches by 1 goal, 6 seeds lost.
10/11, 6 matches by 1 goal, 3 seeds lost.
09/10, 9 matches by 1 goal, 6 seeds lost. |

| The EL was tonight far from boring.
In almost 50% of the games a team passed throug to the PO that was not predicted to do see 3 weeks ago.
Russia and Romania seems to be the only countries (outside the top 6) who are still complete. |
