| LOL. Dinamo Zagreb's vice-chairman (actually alpha & omega of the club, "lord of life and death"; psycho) said today that the Club got one game ban for their East stand (stadium has four stands) as fans located on that stand chanted "Mamiću, cigane, Jurčiću, pederu" (Mamić [before mentioned guy>, you gipsy, Jurčić [coach>, you gay) at Fola game in 2nd Qualifying Round of CL.
He also mentioned that ban was awarded at Wednesday morning (day after the game) and that next chanting like this means Dinamo is out of Europe. LOL. Fans chant like this for tenish years now.
So, I was wondering if this is possible (only their website mentions this, no news from UEFA nor other sources)... only one stand to be closed for fans misbehaviour?! Ban was awared "through the night"?! I mean, seriously?
Is this possible? Has any other club been banned with only partial stadium enclosure due to fans' "actions"? How come they ban club now, after years of chanting to His Excellency? |

And with all respect, there are plenty of clubs that get more rowdy in the crowd that way than Celtic. It wasn't even the kind of life or death match that you'd get a rowdy crowd in, I didn't see it, but it was a stroll for Celtic from what I've read. |

| All I will say is that Mamić has killed what was the soul of Dinamo, its supporters. Just look at Dinamo now and seven years ago. They haven't played CL GS in those times, but the average attendance on Dinamo games in season 2005/06 was 11156, while the last season it was a mere 3063. Whit his way of leading that club whit such a big name he will just make an artificial club out of one with such a rich history. |

| Yes, my club lost it's soul and I won't go to my club games until that person leavs my club, and yes, I am aware of this Celtic case, as like as Steaua's.
But, my point was to see if someone of you (European football followers) know about any other case like this - club banned through the night (?!) with one game without fans at only one stand (?!) and all because fans from thath stand chanting ugly songs to club's boss and coach (what lasts for almost ten years now).
Nota bene - club was selling tix for this game for "banned stand" till saturday, although "ban" was awarded on wednesday. |

| Very bad punishment for fans) Just move yourself from east stand to west or any other and enjoy the game. |

| i don't think UEFA bans a stand or is about to do that, but i think Zagreb is worried that taking no action would give them a ban, so they took some measures in order to please UEFA.
Anyway, i guess a ban for shouting these things is normal, if UEFA wants to ban racism in stadiums, this is the thing to do. |

We'll see tomorrow when official decision is published on uefa.com. |

| Banning only the stands that misbehaved is a better punishment then banning all spectators. This way spectators that didn't do anything wrong (including away fans) aren't punished for something they had nothing to do with.
Of course it will be difficult to prevent the spectators from that stands buying tickets for other stands (unless these are already sold out by the fans that are always there). |

| East stand was closed tonight.
Fans at North stand were forced to leave (at about 60 minutes mark) after insulting club's boss and national FA at UEFA's game.
Football in Zagreb and Croatia died tonight. :puke: :vomit: |

| Police removed people from one part of the North stand from where the fans were insulting the president of the club. You can see pictures here: http://www.24sata.hr/liga-prvaka/navijaci-vrijeali-mamica-i-hns-pa-je-policija- praznila-sjever-326147 |

| I heard that those fans (mostly BBB I guess) are held inside the stadium and the police are filming each one of them. If anyone says that he/she support Mamic or something similar (UEFA isn't much better either) than in my opinion he has some wrong standards, but hey we are not all the same. |

| I fully support Mamic if we're talking about the insults. You don't insult people in group and racist talk doesn't belong in the stadium.
It's not because he does the same thing, you 'd have the right to act racist.
I hope the only reason why UEFA hasn't banned Mamic is because he hasn't done anything during European games... |

| Saying to someone "gypsy" or "gay" here in the region is like saying "c*nt" in England or similar. It is just a normal insult not directly aimed to dishonor those two types of population and has nothing to do with racism. While I do agree that those two populations are in disadvantage and many have prejudices towards them here it isn't nearly as bad as someone would think when they heard how much we insult other people with those two words.
Regarding Mamić, I wish him all the worst |

do you sincerely think the use of gypsy/gay as an insult doesn't hinder the fading of racism? I'm probably not the only one who'd disagree...
So it's not a "normal insult/nothing to do with racism". Think why people try to compare him with a gipsy or gay. It won't be because they like the musicality of a gipsy or the dance moves of the average gay. |

| Celtic closed one section of their stadium due to "unsafe behaviour" of their fans.
http://www.scotzine.com/2013/08/celtic-disband-green-brigade-section-after-warn ings-go-unheeded/
Among other things, they found that "lateral movement" (moving from side to side when singing chants) is dangerous. Ridiculous. Football stadiums should never become theaters, but it seems that that is what "they" want. |

| To be fair it's just the straw that broke the camel's back for them. If that was all they were doing (lateral movement) I doubt they'd have even paid attention to it. That section has cost them a lot of money in recent times. |
