I`ve always wondered, what happens when, like in the case with Chikhura now, they`ve advanced to the 2nd round beating out Vaduz and already knew their next opponent Thun from Switzerland, right in the neighbourhood of Vaduz, Liectenstein. And the first game was scheduled in Thun, so Chikhura have the option to stay and wait for the game next week or travel home to Georgia and then back again before Thursday. It`s quite a long trip, what they`re going to do, anybody knows.

That makes a lot of sense. I don`t think they`ve expected to advance, but still they must had a plan B and Austria is cheaper.

Since you brought this game up, I wonder how Vaduz could be drawn against Thun in the first place, since they both play in the Swiss league (Vaduz is in the second league). Anybody knows the specific regulation for that case?

Edited by: Forza-AZ at: 19-07-2013, 15:19 | The league teams play in doesn't matter, it's the federation they represent in Europe that matters. Thun represents Switzerland, Vaduz represents Liechtenstein. Only teams that represent the same federation can't draw each other. |

That makes a lot of sense again, those in need are more resourceful.
