| I'd say the likeliest upset is ... Shirak - Tre Penne |

Edited by: Lorric at: 24-06-2013, 17:28 | Yes, I was thinking FH could take down Ekranas. But then I thought Sligo Rovers could take down Ekranas last time, and it didn't happen.
EDIT: @ executor
Yes, I think they just might have a chance against the might of Tre Penne
Seriously, I expect both Tre Penne and Lusitanos to get dismantled. |

| Alright, here's what I think of the rest of the matches:
Neftci Baku I think should win. Could be close, could be easy, but Albanian teams are just poor.
Steaua should have no problem with Vardar.
Plzen should beat Zeljeznicar no problem.
Now Sheriff, I'd tip them to win, but Montenegro for me is a bit of an unknown quantity, and Moldova is not a very highly rated league at all. I think this has potential to be a competitive tie.
Maribor should beat Birkirkara easily enough.
Sligo vs Molde is very interesting. It's all about what kind of form Molde are in when the tie comes. If Molde stay in poor form, Sligo can take them. Molde have the 2nd leg at home though.
Elfsborg should beat Daugava. Wouldn't surprise me if it's close, but I'd expect it to be comfortable.
HJK should have no problem with Nomme Kalju.
I think Ekranas will have enough for FH. Interesting match though.
Legia Warsaw should beat The New Saints easily.
Celtic shouldn't have a problem with Cliftonville.
Dinamo Zagreb should crush Fola Esch.
I think Maccabi Tel Aviv are just too strong a draw for Gyori Eto.
BATE should be able to deal with Karagandy just like they deal with all sides of this kind of level.
Partizan could go wild against their Q1 opponent, they seem to like scoring goals against weak national champions if memory serves.
Slovan Bratislava vs Ludogorets Razgrad for me is a true coin flip match for me. It's the champion of the 25th league vs. the champion of the 28th league, the leagues seperated by just 0.624pts. If you move the ranking along to 2014, Bulgaria stay 28th, but Slovakia drops below them to 29th, with a gap of 0.625, almost the same gap, but in reverse. I'll take Razgrad due to desperation as an unseed and having the 2nd leg at home.
Dinamo Tbilisi should have no trouble at all with their Q1 opponent. |

| Wow ... i didn't watched this in a while, it seems that Czech Republic (17th)and Romania (18th) are the best ranked leagues that have teams in this qualification round. Before there was at least 1-2 from top 5 leagues, more from top 10, a lot more form top 15.
Do you think that the top teams and players know that this round even exist? It's like an entire world down here, and the players from the coolest countries don't need to die to get to heaven, because they are were already born and registered there. Anyone else has this feeling? ...) I think the new UEFA tweaks to the formats should at least update the bible (and other moralist books) a little. I know it's fiction, but even the fiction and moralist tales need a little reality check, now and again. So i'm prepared to write the Mega-New Testamanet, 2015 edition (i hope to be done by then) and no, i don't want any donations (it wouldn't be ethical), i'll manage ...) |

| I agree that the -on paper- closest match is Slovan vs Ludogorets. I see potential for an upset in Sutjeska, Daugava (if we've seen a Latvian team reach the PO Round before, it's possible), Hafnarfjordur and of course Sligo against the CURRENT second to worst team in Norway. |

| As soon as I saw Sligo Rovers v Molde drawn I thought 'Sligo Rovers could win this'. I'm sure Sligo's opposition scout will be aware of the poor form Molde have shown in 2013 so they will see this as a real opportunity |

| I have to say, i'm not as pesimistic concerning Molde as i was earlier this season. One thing is that they actually were the 5th best team in May, but also because they thrashed a 1 division top team 6-0 in the cup last week. So i think they will beat Sligo due to them no longer being as bad as the league table tells us. Though i would never dare to bet on Molde in those games :P |

| Hi Folks,
Great to see you all talking about my club Sligo Rovers. Ok in a roundabout way, but we still in the same sentence as Champions League. My question to whoever can aswer me, is how long after the draw is made do the home team get to decide on Tuesday or Wednesday. Currently Molde have yet to confirm what night our second leg tie is on. It seems highly disrespectful to a visiting club and their supporters. Or am I missing something. Is there a deadline that the tie must be fixed within. I have my flights booked to Oslo to cover either eventuality and accomodation for both nights in Molde. However we are still waiting and wonder is this normal.
Thanks AGC |

| Yes, it unfortunately always takes quite some time before the final day is known. What the exact deadline is for the different rounds I don't know. |

| The regulations say there is a deadline set by the UEFA administration. I don't know this deadline, but Sligo Rovers should have received papers where the deadline is mentioned. The usual time of preparation for matches later on in the tournament is about 10 days.
Article 12.04 of the CL regulations:
Confirmation of fixtures for the qualifying phase 12.04 The venues, dates and kick-off times for matches in the three qualifying rounds must be confirmed and communicated to the UEFA administration in writing by the associations of the clubs concerned by the deadline set by the UEFA administration. The UEFA administration may alter or confirm dates and kick-off times according to the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee. Failure to respect this provision may result in disciplinary measures. |

| Usually the ticket sale goes live the week before or 14 days before the game, so they'll probably decide it at the end of this week or early next week. |

| Dinamo and Fola have switched their fixtures, so the first game will be played in Luxemburg. |
