Teams in bold secured their place in CL GS next season

After the dust from EL battle settled we can look back at the situation in next year CL. We have pretty much all the direct CL spots taken, with the last ones being still in play in England and Russia, respectively. Both Chelsea and CSKA need to win their last league games to avoid looking into tie-breakers.

All the remaining spots are just places in qualification. But what interesting fights to watch! Apart of the usual English soap opera involving Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, we suddenly have a lot fun in other leagues:
- In Spain, Valencia is back in the game, being levelled on points (but losing the tie-breaker) with 4th Real Sociedad with 3 games to go, and having far more favourable schedule
- In Germany, Schalke slipped last week against Stuttgart and now it comes to the big final: the last game of the season is an away gane against fifth Freiburg who is only one point behind. theoretically, sixth Eintracht may be in too, in case the above game ends in a draw and they win against Wolfsburg.
- In Italy, Milan is third with two points over Fiorentina, but they need a win in the last game to keep it.
- In France it is Lyon who is currently third but there are three teams within only 3-4 points, with two games to go.
- Ukraine, pretty much settled after a win in direct game between Metalist and Dynamo Kiev, it is the former team that needs just one more win from next two games.

Taking all the above into account, shape of Pot A is mostly done, being only dependent on the outcome of the CL final. Bayern win keeps both Portuguese teams in Pot A, otherwise Benfica needs Arsenal or Chelsea to lose their last games (unlikely). In case of both Bayern's win and one of Chelsea/Arsenal failing to qualify, the last spot in Pot A would go to a Spanish team, either Valencia if qualifies to CL or Atletico (even more unlikely). More interestingly, win of CL by Dortmund would cause a reshape of Pot B, leaving PSG back in Pot C, and CSKA being dependent on Valencia qualifying to the CL, under the assumption that all top seed teams in the qualification (Arsenal, Valencia, Lyon, Milan and Schalke) would go through.
