It seems that Positions 1-3 (Esp-Eng-Ger), 4-6 (Ita-Fra-Por) and 7-9 (Ukr-Rus-Net) are already decided.
I'd say the same for 10-12 (Bel-Gre-Tur). Also #13 (Sui) seem safe.

A few more words about Top-9.

Spain have only Levante in EL, just 1 team left there. In addition, in CL all their 4 teams are in danger. Valencia have lost 1-2 at home against PSG, Malaga lost 0-1 at Porto, Real travel to Old Trafford with a 1-1 draw in Madrid, while Barcelona must overcome the 0-2 loss at Milan. So, it is possible that Spain may have only 1 team in both competitions in QFs or even none if Levante also fail against Rubin!

England will lose Arsenal in CL, while Man Utd are not sure. Let's see what attitude they will show in EL, especially Chelsea.

Germany may see all their teams qualify in CL, as Bayern are almost there, with Dortmund and Schalke have the possibilities with them. Stuttgart in EL play Lazio.

Italy have 4 teams (2+2), with Juventus in CL waiting for their opponent in QF and Milan be ready to do the miracle if they finish the job in Barcelona. In EL Lazio and Inter do not have easy draws, but they can both do it.

France have 1 team on each competition. PSG will probably be in the QF of CL. Bordeaux have to do well to qualify against Benfica.

Portugal, alike France, have 1+1 teams. As you have read above, Benfica play Bordeaux in CL, while Porto will defend their 1-0 win in Malaga in CL.

Ukraine lost all their 3 teams in EL32 and Shakhtar will not travel as favorites in Germany against Dortmund, so they will probably do not have representation in QFs.

Russia did not manage to have any teams on CL16, but they have 3 teams and good ones in EL. Zenit shall be considered as favorites against Basel. Anzhi qualified against Hannover and their opponent Newcastle shall not fear them much more than Hannover, at least theoretically. Last but not least Rubin Kazan, who eliminated holders Atletico Madrid will compete against another representative of Spain, Levante.

Finally, a big surprise that Netherlands are left with no more teams and we still haven't reached the QFs!!!

All Spain's teams are at a disadvantage in the CL last 16. They could be wiped out.

There is one "battle" for position right now though. Romania vs Israel for 18th. A couple of points are required for Steaua against Chelsea to take the place.

I'd add France vs. Portugal for 5th rank, especially because Benfica can eleminate Bordeaux and so they might overcome a lot of those 1.3 points they lack atm. So thatÄs a key match, if Benfica goes through, all stays open, if Bordeaux makes it, it's pretty over.

TURKEY:In cl,galatasaray has 40% chance against schalke on the road.comparing rosters qualities,gs has better individual team but as a team work,schalke is better.the score is very open just like being observed as a little advantage on the german side, galatasaray can either win or get a draw better than 2-2 on the road
in uefa fenerbahce-plzen interesting match-up,everything can happen in this round.both team can pass the other easyly or the quarter-finalist can be determined even at the last moment..Turkey wants 2 representatives in quarters in the first time in its history!

@Lorric a lot may depend on whether Chelsea want to progress in the EL. They may do as they may see it as their best chance to win a trophy

@Lorric
You are right. Actually Steaua need 2 points against Chelsea, either a win or 2 draws. They do not need to pass the round.
This will ensure that the association ranked 18th will see his CW start on QR3 of EL.

@SirHenri
This battle between France and Portugal seems much more interesting, since it also involves the Benfica - Bordeaux clash. It will also depend on what PSG and Porto do in CL; if the qualify and their draw.
At the moment, Portugal need 7 more points to get above France.
The N3 league team of the association ranked 5th starts on play-off of Champions League, while the one of 6th has to enter on QR3.
