| Does anyone have any information (or like to speculate) on the distribution of the market pool for English clubs in this season's CL?
50% of the market pool is paid based on the teams' finishing positions in the previous year's league. This is normally divided 40%-30%-20%-10% to the teams finishing 1st-2nd-3rd-4th respectively.
Chelsea finshed 6th in the Premier League but qualified for the CL group stage as holders. How does their inclusion affect the distribution of the market pool to English clubs? Soccerlens reported in May that the split would be Man City and Chelsea 30% each, Man Utd 25% and Arsenal 15%. But they said this would be confirmed by a later UEFA executive meeting. I can't find anything since. |
