Usual suspects in line:
1st - Norway 2nd - Sweden 3rd - Finland
My England are in 4th. C'mon! Squeeze one of them out!
The top end is as usual loaded up with Northern nations. Mild raising of an eyebrow for Spain in 8th.
EDIT: Arsenal are currently number 1 in the Premier League fair play table. There's a possibility they could require it to get into Europe. If not, then Fulham would be in line for another crack at the Europa League via the fair play system. I'd be very happy with either getting in via fair play.

| Friday already? that soon? I think 2 years ago it was published somewhere the beginning of June, and there was a draw at the opening of the youth-EC tournament or sh. like that. Now there isn't any draw anymore, so it's easier. But doesn't the FairPlay-season ends on 31 May? Or is that also changed to a month earlier |

Date: 07-05-2013, 23:32
| That was 7 years ago, when the ranking was still based on 1 June till 31 May.
Since 2006/07, the ranking is based on 1 May till 30 April and ever since the final table is published in the first or second week of May. |

Edited by: Forza-AZ at: 08-05-2013, 15:06 | No, the last matchday of the regular season. So that meant Twente already knew they were qualified for EL (via Fair Play) before they started the play-offs. The only thing they could get in the play-offs was 1 later round in EL (which they didn't). And that last matchday was on 6 May 2012. I found a report of 4 May 2012 in which it was anounced Netherlands would get a Fair Play spot.
So UEFA it already late now which the final Fair Play ranking of 2013. |

| Upon a google search I have encountered this website which says this
http://www.liverpool.no/newspg.aspx?id=36982&zone=1
"Norwegian Football Association said on its website that its three UEFA Fair Play slots in the qualifying game for the Europa League goes to Sweden, Norway and Finland. UEFA announced yesterday that these three nations are awarded an extra place in the Europa League next season, having landed on the first three places in UEFA's Fair Play ranking.
Thus all hope of European Cup games out of Liverpool, who next season will only Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup to concentrate on." |

| Tromsø was the fair play winner last season. It could turn out to be negative, it could turn out to be positive. Tromsø pretty much has the same team as last season. And was then only 15 minutes away from the group stage. But does this season have a less experienced coach. |

First post in reply to executor. Gefle won the 2012 Allsvenskan fair play

and IFK Mariehamn won the 2012 Veikkausliiga fair play

| Thank you, tom!! For a while I was afraid IFK Gothenburg won it. But now I can hope for a Djurgården win in the Cup final (to lower the coefficient needed to be seeded in ELQR2) |

I wouldn't put my money on that. Dead-last in the league with 1 point in 7 games. But hey, you never know? Game's in Stockholm not in Gothenburg, on their #1 enemy's soil tho (The National Stadium/Friends Arena) So maybe you be lucky and your wish of higher seeding comes through. .) |

| If its Tromsø who won the fair play spot for Norway, that wouldn't be bad at all. Decent team and one of the better coefficients in Norway. |

| I somehow have the impression that the fair play spot is often used to give a 'good' team wich hab da bad national season thier entry via the back door. So, if England gets an entry, they will send Liverpool, germany might send Werder Bremen, Italy would send Inter, and so on.
As if not fairness but advancement chanches would be the prime criteria. |

Edited by: Lorric at: 10-05-2013, 16:48 | They just send whoever's top of the fair play league.
Good teams don't need to commit as many fouls, and disciplined teams won't commit as many fouls, so it stands to reason the better teams would end up at the top.
England nearly ended up sending the relegated Blackpool via fair play one year I remember. England also sent relegated Ipswich one year.
I very much doubt Italy will ever qualify a team via fair play. Well, unless all the clubs adopt Prandelli's mentality with the Italian national team, I used to loathe the Italian national team until he came along. |

| Northern domination as usual.
Under the old system, didn't all teams with over 8.000 get put into a draw? If so, that's surely the most nations I've seen notch up a score of 8.000 and above. Is the game getting cleaner? |

Edited by: Cloakmaster at: 10-05-2013, 21:42 | Partly. In the old System the winner had a secured ticket, but the other two tickets were drwan among all nations having played enogh matches AND beraing a coefficient of 8.000 or higher. |

| Well, it could have been 4th or last the result would still be the same. The fair play league can potentially bring the English coefficient down too, and with teams turning their noses up at it it might be a good thing, you've got to get through 4 qualifiers, they might have messed it up and dragged England's coefficient down. |

No, Fulham qualified via Fair Play in 2011 and then were eliminated in the group stage (by Twente and Wisla Krakow). Fulham played the final in 2009-10. Fulham qualified as 7th in the Premier League in 2009. |

| I think England's best fair play performer was Manchester City 5 years ago, going to the quarter finals and enhancing the coefficient.
Fulham dragged it down slightly, but they did get screwed by Wisla Krakow, they should have advanced. Speaking of them, something seems to have happened to them, they're down in 8th place in their league. |
