I was very much surprised to see how low Armenia have fallen in the ranking, and by the looks of it, they are most likely to stay below 50th place, as they need 4 wins to catch Estonia.
Faroe also seem very likely to stay below 50.
Estonia, Wales, Luxemburg and NIreland are really pretty close, but two of the Luxemburg teams Differdange and Dudelange have easy matches and can amass two more wins, which will make it harder for Wales and Estonia to catch them.
3 of the 4 NIreland teams in a good position to qualify, as well as the three Welsh teams, although MyPa should easily beat the Druids. One of the Estonian teams is definetely out, the other two have reasonable chances to go on.

Check this out. I don't know what level Armenia and the Faroe Islands play at (amateur/semi pro etc) but if you watch this video the EB Streymur forwards absolutely dominate the Gandzasar defenders for pace:

Luxembourg got another point by the tie of Grevenmacher vs Tirana. Okay, they are eliminated, but not with 0 points. So Differdange and Dudelange won't either........in 15 minutes, F91 Dudelange plays in san Marino, and some points are a "must".

A good matchday for Luxemburg and Northern Ireland so far, which increased their lead to Wales and Estonia. Kalju loss decreased Estonia's chances of catching 47th place significantly. None of the Welsh teams played yesterday though.

Very good matchday for Luxemburg, which scored 0.625 pts (5 net points), qualified 2 teams for the next round and took over the 46st place from NIreland.

NIreland scored 0.375 (3 NP), qualified 2 teams as well and increased their lead over Wales and Estonia.

Wales lost all their EL teams and now require TNS to outscore the NIrish teams by 4 net points, which means they will need to pass at least one round and score in the next.

Estonia lost all 3 matches, but managed to qualify one EL team for the next round, but now need to make at least 6 more net points than NIreland, a tough task providing their champion plays Basel in CL-Q2.

Armenia had an excellent matchday scoring 0.625 pts (5 NP out of 6 possible) and qualifing 2 EL teams ahead. That combined with the miserable performance of the Estonian teams gives Armenia a glimmer of hope that they might pass Estonia at 49th place. For that to happen the 3 remaining teams must make 5 NP more than the Estonian ones.

4 associatons out after the first round, 3 of then with a big zero. So places 50-53 are already set. But Liechtenstein does not count that much, really.

question is, if they really will be that happy by starting in q2. Winning q1 and playing q2 is far more easy than winning q2 and playing q3. Participating in another qualification round gives easier money...

But you automatically get the prize money from the lower rounds if you start in a later round, don't you? So you get twice as much for Q2 as Q1, whether you start in Q1 or not.

no that i knew about. in that other uefa article they said any team gets 130.000 € per qualification round played, up to a maximum of 390.000 €. that would mean that starting in q2 and loosing q2 gives 130.000, and not 260.000, while starting in q1 and loosing in q2 would doulbe that amount.

coakmaster, anyways, F92 Dudelange is tired to be compared like the champions of San Marino or Andorra. It's also a question of prestige. and they have shown yesterday that they also can beat seeded teams of QR2, even if they are called red Bull salzburg. f91 Diddeleng has the level of a team of 2nd German Bundesliga or National in France .

I'va always thought it has been that way. You're punishing teams who start later if you don't give them the extra money.

Also, I think the EL GS is worth more than the last 32, which also suggests further payments as teams advance.

Maybe someone can confirm it, but I've always thought teams starting in later rounds pick up the cash from earlier rounds. And why wouldn't they, that money is chicken feed compared to the vast sums UEFA dish out once things start getting serious.

F92? and that one from YOU??? MUHARHARHARHAR!!!

Of course, money is not evrything. And climing in the listing will always enhance emotions of the climber, no matter if it is from 50 to 48 or from 14 to 12.

I really hope, that Dudelange will complete their miracle by not loosing in salzburg. One reason is, i always like the underdog (like APOEL last year), the other one: I absolutly dislike Red Bull. (as a company, and especially thier Owner Mateshitz)

As nice as that will be, will it be worth it with what the main topic of conversation around here will be for at least the next 6 months? Even if no one joins in, Malko will be a one man band on the subject.

I've got Malko on the brain. When I tried to log back in the first time, I put "Malko" as my password...

Armenia lost all their 3 matches 0-1 2-0 2-0
So they already need a small miracle to get up to 49
Even if Estonia lost all their matches as well, but still 4 points to go for Armenia.

Alomost nothing changed after the first leg of the Q2's. The Armenian, Estonians and NIrish clubs all lost their matches. Armenia still need 4 points to pass Estonia for 49th place and have a couple of home matches and an away one to get them.
TNS won a point and Wales reduced the gap to NIreland for 47th to 0.375 coefficient points, 3 net points respectively.
With the Dudelange win, Luxemburg effectively secured a place outside the bottom 6, as they are now 3+ and 6+ points in front of NIreland and Wales, which realisticly means they can't be overtaken by both.

This battle is over, as the countries at the last 6 positions lost already all their teams. The only team to score a point on the last matchday was Linfield, the others lost their games.
Armenia finished 50th and joined the Faroe Islands, San Marino and Andorra in the last 4 places, so their champion will start in Q1 in 14/15 season.
Wales and Estonia remained 48th and 49th and the starting round of their champion will depend on the TH.
NIreland and Luxemburg ended up outside the bottom 6.

It is good news to armenia in 50th place and their champion will start in Q1 in 14/15 season. But AZERBAYCAN can go 33 or 34 place. and CW can take EL Q2.
