A few good unseeded winners in Q1 of EL. Of course, it's only half time!

FK Jagodina 0 Ordabasy Shymkent (Kaz) 1
Rudar Pljevlja 0 Shirak Gyumri 1 (Arm)
JJK Jyväskylä (Fin) 2 Stabæk IF 0
Pyunik Yerevan 0 Zeta Golubovci (Mon) 3
Suduva Marijampole 0 Daugava Daugavpils (Lat) 1
Cliftonville (NIr) 1 Kalmar FF 0

Very early days, but if JJK and Cliftonville could hang on, they'd effectively be seeded in the next round.

JJK might even play Zeta Golubovci, and though none of these results would affect Q3 seeding, there is the chance of a real glamour tie for someone!

Author: duncshine Date: 07-07-2012, 12:37	Hi Malko, Good win for Differdange 03 over NSI Runavik of the Faroes, But actually Differdange are the seeded side, with a coefficient of 2.966 against NSI's 1.033. However, if Differdenge finish the job, it's just a 3 hour drive up the E411 to Gent!

Author: Malko Date: 07-07-2012, 15:45	both Luxembourgish clubs (knowing very well they won't win these cups and hoping to get great opponents), are lucky: Diddeleng will face Red Bull salzburg and Differdange will face La gantoise (knowing that Differdange last year was jhust eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain, which was eliminated by Salzburg), this means, luxembourgish clubs have climbed a level......

Let's see, of the teams which were winning, Daugava and Cliftonville failed to capitalise on it.

Of the teams which had the advantage, only Nomme Kalju and B36 Torshavn in the Champions League failed to hold it.

So that's 9 unseeded sides so far.

Gandazar turned defeat into victory against EB Streymur, making 10 unseeded sides which progressed.

Of these 10, JJK were the only team to defeat a team with a high enough coefficient to be seeded in Q2.

In total 11/37 (30 %)of the unceeded teams in EL and none out of 3 in CL (0%)progressed to Q2.
In EL they won 13 and drew 18 out of 74 matches winning 30% of the points. At home they won 9 and drew 11 out of 37 for 39% of the points and away won 4 and drew 7 for 20%. They scored 55 goals and conceded 148.
In CL the unceeded teams drew 2 (1 at home and 1 away) and won none of the 6 matches played, gathering 17% of the points with a total GD of 0:20.

Higheset seeded eliminated team was Stabaek, which were #8 seed. The other eliminated seeded teams were #12, 17, 19, 20, 22, 26, 32, 34, 35 and 36

The lowest unseeded team to go through was Shirak, #35 of the unseeded. The other unseeded teams which progressed were #2, 4, 5, 13, 16, 21, 22, 26, 28, 29

Maybe more significant in this new system, but with a lot more lesser teams planted in later rounds before, this was nothing unusual. We got Liverpool vs Rabotnicki, Juventus vs Shamrock Rovers... @ Todor Ah, I see I missed Zimbru Chisinau. This team belonged in my advantage list after a 0-0 away to Bangor city.
