| Horsens is a city with around 55.000 inhabitants in the Eastern part of Jutland.
Alliance Club Horsens was created in 1994 as a fusion between Horsens fs, whose best result ever was a bronze medal but was no longer in the top flight, and some small clubs in the area.
They were promoted to the Superliga for the first time in 2005. They were known for their great defense, who was often amongst the best in the league and kept them in the Superliga until 2009, when they were relegated. A new coach, Johnny Mølby, promoted them right back up again and embraced a more offensive style. They were 9th last season, and finished 4th and lost the Danish Cup final this season.
Their biggest profile, Brazilian striker Gilberto Macena, was sold to China this winter. They often line up in a fairly standard 4-4-2, where one of the wide midfielders move into the pitch. Their two best players now must be the central midfield duo: 32-year old Martin Retov, the playmaker, who often controls the game from a quite deep position and hits some great free kicks and 25-year old Martin Spelmann, who combines decent technical abilites with a energetic never-stop attitude. |

| Still we can't consider Arsenal Kyiv as a new team in Europe, since they just had a name change after their last participation. |

| You`ve won. Interesting that both Bert`s database and the website of Arsenal lists those games from 2002 under the name Arsenal Kyiv. CSKA website doesn`t mention European games, but I remember they`ve played before 2002 as well. I forgot to look at the UEFA website to doublecheck. Mea culpa! |

| And we also have in Europa League Q1:
Fin JJK Jyväskylä
Furthermore
Slo NK Celje
dropped Publikum from their name since they played European football for the last time in 2006. Does anyone know why? Was it the name of a sponsor? |
