| Hi all,
in this EL round the group winners of the 12 EL groups and 4 best 3rd ranked CL teams are playing against the 12 EL runners-up and 4 worst 3rd ranked CL teams.
My question ist, what is taken into account to determine the 4 best and 4 worst CL teams?? Surely the points, but are also the goals taken into account or is after the points the decision made by the team ranking?

| Hi,
from the UEFA CL regulations:
7.08 The four best third-ranked teams are seeded for the UEFA Europa League
round of 32. This ranking is determined in accordance with the following
criteria (in descending order):
a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches
b) superior goal difference
c) higher number of goals scored
d) higher number of away goals scored
e) higher number of wins
f) higher number of away wins
g) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in
question, as well as its association, over the previous five seasons
(see paragraph 9.02).
