Will the 10 seeded and 10 unseeded teams will be devided to 2 groups of 5 and 5?

That isn't needed since there are no teams from the same country in the draw, so I guess there will just be 1 pot with 10 seeded teams and 1 pot with 10 unseeded teams.

Will there be a regional split in ELQ3 ?

ForzaAZ - They were not teams from the same country in the CLQR2 as well, and they did this split from 18 and 18 to 3 groups of 6 and 6...
Does anyone remember what was the case last year?

Very strange.

Fot the champions path, UEFA made a division of teams in two groups.
http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/draws/index.html

I can't see the idea. There is not a geographic criteria.

In group 1 there are teams from Estonia (north) to Malta (south) and from Switzerland (west) to Cazakhstan (west).
In group 2 there are teams from Feroe Islands (north) to Cyprus (south) and from Ireland (west) to Azerbaijan (west).

Can anyone help me? Thank you.

I was more surprised that geographical criteria were used for the draw of CL-Q2. As far as I know that was the 1st time such criteria were used for the Champions League.

According to the regulations uefa simply has the right to form groups for the purpose of the draw. Perhaps there is a reason for these groups, but uefa usually does not elaborate on that.

The split doesn't make any sense. If we take the seeding list, this is how they split them:
1..FC Basel 1..BATE Borisov **
2..Anderlecht 2..Lech Poznan **
2..FC København 2..MSK Zilina **
1..Hapoel Tel-Aviv ** 2..Sheriff Tiraspol **
1..Sparta Praha ** 2..DVSC Debrecen **
2..Rosenborg BK ** 1..Omonia Nicosia **
2..FC Salzburg ** 1..AIK Stockholm **
1..Litex Lovech ** 1..Bohemians Dublin **
1..Dinamo Zagreb ** 1..Ekranas Panevezys **
2..Partizan Belgrade ** 2..FK Aktobe **

...unless it's 1-2-2-1 for the seeded teams and 4 times 1 - 4 times 2 for the unseeded

EDIT: actually it's 2-2-1-1 for the seeded (starting with 1) and 2-2-2-2-1-1-1-1 (starting with 1) for the unseeded. Nice algorithm

Thank you.
Geographic criteria doesn't seem very fair.

I think uefa already divided teams in subgroups.

http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/draws/index.html

First 5 ceeded teams -1st group, next 5 - 2nd group, and so on...
