You must not forward 8 !!! teams from Q1 into Q2 but it is enough to forward 6 teams, see this alternative path:
Q1:
50 teams
- 6 teams into Q2

44 teams
Q2:
55 teams
- 3 teams into Q3
+ 6 teams from Q1
+ 22 winners from Q1
--------------------
80 teams
Q3:
30 teams
- 1 CL TH into CL
- 2 teams into Q4
+ 3 teams from Q2
+ 40 winners from Q2

70 teams
Q4:
39 teams
+ 2 teams from Q3
+ 35 winners from Q3

GP:
10 teams
38 winners from Q4

As you cann see the result is the same but I have notice in the past that UEFA has make his switches allways even wise, 1 (exception), 2 or 4 teams but never 3 teams as it would be case here in Q3/Q4.
What do you think, which way is the right one? |
