According to the Bulgarian media today is CSKA's match #200 in Europe. The wiki page says 194 + the missing last game with Basel makes it 196, not 200.

Any ideas?

This issue is well-known.
I don't know whether those 4 Intertoto Cup matches could be called 'European matches', since they do not count for European Cup rankings (Bert's rankings).
But they are competitive, you play a foreign team, so you might include them if you like to.

I wouldn't count them because they don't bring any ranking points. But hey some count Inter-Cities Fairs Cup also and I wouldn't count those either.

I would count them because they are official international games organized by UEFA. SuperCup and the Club World Championship games don't bring coefficient points either, but aren't those taken into account?

The idea of considering only games that bring coefficient points is absurd. There's much more than that!

Why are the 1986 Intertoto games are not counted, but the 1996 are?

Probably because it wasn't organised by UEFA before 1995
