Edited by: Maluyaca at: 12-05-2008, 16:16 | As a belgian with Portuguese roots and a Sporting fan I think this is a good thing that Benfica is out of the CL. For Portuguese coefficient I think that it won't be a bad thing either. In Portugal I think 4M (6M are for Benfica the other 4M for Porto and Sporting and other teams) people are happy that Benfica is not in CL.
I think Vitoria Guimaraes would love to draw Steaua one of the opponents against which they have a chance. Basel, Ajax and Anderlecht would be better I think.
PS. Cluj in CL is a good thing for Romania, Steaua in CL would rather be a bad thing because I think that they can make more points in UEFA.
I don't think that Vitoria will reach CL and for god sake I hope that if they reach it not with this coach. I don't like Cajuda the coach of Vitoria. |

| Vitória Guimarães is decent team, and they need still to improve to have a good chance of passing the 3rd round of CL pre-qualifiers, but their 3rd place can be either good or bad for the Portuguese coefficient:
-On one side, Guimarães now has a better chance of going to the group stages through either CL qualification or Uefa Cup qualification. And therefore we can get a 4th team in the GS(ignoring Braga, which is coming from Intertoto)
-On the other side we probably will lose 1 team spot in the CL GS, since Guimarães has little chances of reaching it. Benfica also has less chances of reaching a group stage, but that loss is almost invisible. |
