| We all know that CL gonna change since 2009. However some of us think that the Platini's project is nonsense and still support today's format. According to Platini's project one of top 6 countries loses one team in CL (count yourselves). So I think such people can support project of scheme.
First Qualifying Round champions from 37-52
Second Qualifying Round champions from 31-36
Third Qualifying Round champions from 10-30 runners-up from 1-9 third places from 1-6 fourth places from 1-3
Group Stage champions from 1-9

so that means we will have champions instead of runners-up in GS (Sparta instead of Slavia, etc). |

| That is very similar to what we have now, only you decreas the probability of surprise even more by making more team in the qualifing (so the average difference in each round becomes even bigger). I really don't see the point of it. |

| So, the whole point is remove a second possible spot for countries ranked from 10 to 15 ?
Frankly, i don't like this, and i'm happy to not see this.
Platini's project is not bad. Actually, let's check the results of the teams who have played the non-champions q rounds.
Spain : Valencia : 4th in GS. England : Arsenal : 2nd in GS. Italy : Lazio : 4th in GS (Milan is TH). France : Toulouse : out in qR3 against Liverpool Germany : Werder Bremen : 3rd in GS. Portugal : Benfica : 3rd in GS. Netherlands : Ajax : out in qR3 against Slavia Praha. Greece : AEK Athens : out in qR3 against Sevilla. Russia : Spartak Moscow : out in qR3 against Celtic. Steaua : 4th in GS. Scotland : Rangers : 3rd in GS. Belgium : Genk : out in qR2 against Sarajevo. Ukraine : Shaktar : 4th in GS. Czech : Slavia : 4th in GS. Turkey : Besiktas : 4th in GS.
So, let's take the best 5 teams from those, and put the others in the UC. Tell me where is the loss in quality. Only one of them was able to pass the GS, and only as 2nd, and only 3 of them were able to end 3rd. 4 out 15 are just good to end 4th !!!
For the 11 teams left, Toulouse was 5th in the UCGS, Ajax was out in the 1st round, Athens in UCR3, Spartak in UCR3.
Now, that's hard to imagine who would have been qualified, but Arsenal probablt without a problem, the others are not good enough pass the GS, so there is no loss in quality. Replacing teams who were 4th by teams who pass a few rounds in the UC (except for Dinamo Bucarest, but that's another problem when a team is good one year and awful 6 months later) is not that bad. |

| My system only proposes champions instead of runners-up. The most 'quality' result would be:
4-4-4-3-3-3-2-2-2-1-1-1-1-1 . So 14 countries at least. |

| There is no system who garantees to see the best 32 teams in the GS, but your system is really dumb.
A system based on many teams in the q rounds is mostly based on luck, that's all. Let's take Anderlecht, seeded who played against Fenerbahce, a team who is able to reach the last 16, in a group with PSV, CSKA and Inter.
Both are champions.
No, your system is not better, and doesn't give more quality, but just more lucky teams. |

| I think the main problem in European Football toiday is not who will participate in which Qualification Round, even not in the Group Stage, but to find a method, that , like some years ago, not only the same 5 or 6 teams will be in the semifinals. That teams like Bruges, Steaua, Leberkusen, Saint-Etienne, Red Star Belgrade, Bastia, Sochaux, Goetheborg....... have again the possibility to reach the final stages of Championsleague or UEFA-Cup. Thereore, it's not only the qualification- and groupstage-system who must be changed, but a way taken to a new fair competition, not based on money and TV-Rights. An Eurpean control-system of finance (like there is one in France with the DNCG, or in germany) should be instored first. Many of the teams reaching the final stages wouldn't even get a licence in these 2 countries !!! |

| "Many of the teams reaching the final stages wouldn't even get a licence in these 2 countries !!!"
Again a legend ....
There is a 'DNCG' in Italy. Fiorentina was relegated due to financial problems, Lazio and Roma, a few years ago, couldn't buy a single player and every year at least a team is starting with at least -1 point in serie B due to financial problems.
In England, MU, Arsenal and Liverpool don't have problem, and Abramovich is putting his own money in the club.
And the best legend : Spain. No, the king has not 'given' money to the Real. The state has bought a training center from the team, in the center of Madrid and will make a few millions benefit from it.
And, the best of the best, most of the teams in France are renting their stadium when most of the teams in Italy, Spain and England bought it years ago. That's all. So, no, even with an european DNCG, nothing will change. |
