| Hi all, wonder if someone can help.
Am I right in thinking the Austrian Cup this year does not include teams from the firt two levels of Austrian football. I found this on the German language Wikipedia, but my German isn't as good as it should be.
"Der ÖFB-Cup wird in der Saison 2007/08 zum 74. Mal ausgespielt.
If my understanding is right, does anyone know whether the eventual winners will still qualify for the UEFA Cup?

| The teams in the professional divisions won't participate in order to get finished with the league earlier and give the nt more time to prepare for the EURO 2008.
And no, the winner won't qualify for the UEFA Cup this year (I think that place goes to the league, but I'm not sure) |

| Actually most of the Austrian national players are playing for Austrian clubs. Some play in Germany and some in Italy or Greece but the majority in Austria.

| The Austrian Cup was cancelled to protect the pitches were the EURO 2008 will be played, not to give more rest to the Austrian players.
At least this is the official reason. |
