Points for winning the final, please

I wonder why teams-winners from both CL and UC don't get extra points for winning the European title... Can you explain me why?

Maybe it's because it is just one match and therefore, a team shouldn't can't a bonus for winning one match, other than the match itself.
Or maybe it's because UEFA doesn't want the rankings to be affected too much of one good (great) season.
It doesn't matter so much anyway, because the benefits of winning title is great anyway, so 1 or 2 extra coefficient points won't matter that much (and the next season the team is seeded anyway)

Bonus points are given for qualifying for the certain stages in the competition. So both teams playing in the final already received 1 bonus point each for qualifying for the final.
Winner of the final match does not qualify for any stage in the current season's competition, and therefore do not get any more bonus points.

But the winner of the final match is 'qualifying for the title-holder', isn't it? I thing UEFA should give:

2 points (for winning the match
1 point (for 'qualifying for the title-holder')
1 point (because it's final)

i do not agree, they get bonus points every round and winning the final is also 2 points, and their is no extra round after the final

There doesn't seem to be a good reason why, other than "it's always been this way" which is often the answer to these questions, like, why in most countries do people go to work at 9am and finish at 5pm, why do English people live in houses and Germans in apartments, etc.

Let's turn the question around though.

Why should they get an extra point (or extra points?). What would be the point?

They already got the trophy. They already got a place in next year's competition. Unless they only won on penalties they already got two more points than the team they beat in the final.

Why would they want/deserve any more points?

Last year, both the CL winner and the UC winner made less points than the losing finalist, which is kind of weird. But then, 1 bonus point wouldn't have been enough to change that.

I think the CL winner (and UEFA Cup winner) should get bonus points for winning…

It’s strange that in the 2006/2007 club ranking, Espanyol (!!) is on top, while the European champion AC Milan is just 5th.

Anyway, this is just one among many strange things in the UEFA rankings…
