watch this for example: real-arsenal 1:0 and in second leg arsenal-real 1:0 after extra time 2:1 for arsenal.....with current rule real going in next round..but I think this is unfair to arsenal..because real had 30 extra minutes to play on away ground..i think that away rule must count only for 90 minutes! in this case that means that arsenal and real go on penalty kicks..

second sugestion: real-arsenal 1:0 ,ars-real 2:1..and we are heading for extra time ..and if after 120' score is still 2:1 real is going through..arsenal have 30 more minutes to score that third goal...

I agree with you.

You are correct that the away team in the 2nd leg has 30 minutes more to score an away goal, but the home team off course plays 30 minutes more at home. I don't know what is the bigger advantage(?)

And the last example: Playing extra time and only counting away goals after that, is done in the semifinal of the English League Cup.

Aberdeen have tied European ties on 7 occasions

70-71 UC Honved 4-4 lost on pens
84-85 EC Dynamo Berlin 3-3 lost on pens
85-86 EC IFK Gothenburg 2-2 lost on away goals
87-88 UC Feyenoord 2-2 lost on away goals
89-90 UC Rapid Vienna 2-2 lost on away goals
94-95 UC Skonto Riga 1-1 lost on away goals
00-01 UC Bohemians 2-2 lost on away goals

I do not like this damn rule!

In 2-legged ties where the home/away legs are decided randomly, the team playing home in the second leg wins the tie almost 60% of the time.

So home-leg-2nd is a much bigger advantage than having 30minutes extra to score away goals under the circumstances you describe.

In other words. I wouldn't worry about it.
