| Surprisingly I cannot find dates for Portuguese Cup, not even in oficial site of the Portuguese FA (http://www.fpf.pt). I know that the 5th round will be 7/1, and the 6th round on 21/1. But I don't know exactly when the 7th and 8th rounds will be. Probably because there are few teams, they will decide between them which mid-week they will play, since it will depend if there are still teams in EC by then. (I remember when Porto won UC and CL, the Portuguese cup games were changed to give them time to breathe)... |

Missed the Slovakian info on that page because I don't speak the language, and didn't find the links to the subpages.
levski.bg, I don't think that the league of Macedonia will end at Mar 18 after 22 matches. I suppose there will be another 11 games but I didn't find any schedule. Also in Andorra there will be a play-off between the top-4 teams, but I can't find the schedule.
Cro_nogomet, you are right of course. The champions of Sweden (Elfsborg) and Slovakia will start in the the 2nd qualifying round because the CL cup-holder will be from one of the top-15 ranked countries. Only Celtic winning the Champions league and not winning the SPL can prevent the champion of Switzerland to start in the 3rd qualifying round.
So still 17 missing fixture dates. Anyone?

Maybe it's too soon but I saw that you already mentioned the teams who will enter CL and Uefa. It aren't a lot but can you already put the seeding and not seeding page of UEFA and CL or is too soon? Maybe just the teams in order of coefficient.
If you use the coefficient of this year needed to be seeded with a marge of +10 and -10 then you would be pretty sure about the correctness of the table |

2. Kairat Almaty, 1952 (23.11.) Founded as Dinamo Almaty 1954 Founded as Lokomotiv Almaty 1955 Renamend to Urozhai Almaty 1990 Renamend to FC Almaty 1999 Renamend to Kairat Almaty |

Edited by: ses56 at: 24-01-2007, 22:26 | For Albania
The league rounds 23-33 will be played from 10.03 through 26.05. The fixture for these rounds were already drawn up as numbers and the club names will be replaced by these numbers according to their place in the table after Round 22.
So last day of the league is 26.05.
The format at European-football-statistics.co.uk was discussed at first, but was not adopted. Instead they use a format like Croatia used last year. RSSSF format is correct. |

| From UEFA website:
"Clubs from Andorra and San Marino will play in the UEFA Champions League preliminary rounds from next season, the UEFA Executive Committee has decided. A meeting of the new-look Executive Committee in Dusseldorf, the first to be chaired by new UEFA President Michel Platini, decided that one club from each of the two countries would now be able to enter the UEFA Champions League at the first qualifying round stage. Clubs from UEFA's newest member association, Montenegro, will also take part in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup next season."

| The Qualification 2007/2008 has been changed to adopt the new teams. I think the changes to the format will be as follows:
"Since the Champions League cup-holder will be from one of the top-15 ranked countries they will come in at the expense of the last-placed side of that association, in case they don't qualify by their domestic league. This would ususally mean that the champions of the 26th and 27th countries on the ranking list would gain direct access to the 2nd qualifying round. But the UEFA Congress at January 26 decided that clubs from Montenegro, UEFA's newest member association, and Andorra and San Marino will play in the 1st qualifying round of the Champions League. The usual way for UEFA to deal with these new places is to extent the number of teams in the 1st qualifying round by 6 teams. This implies that the champion of the 25th country on the ranking list (Croatia) will have to play in the 1st qualifying round.
In the UEFA Cup 1st qualifying round the places of the champions of Andorra and San Marino (which take part in the Champions League) will be taken by two clubs from Montenegro, UEFA's newest member association. So, no change of format is needed." |

| "So in the future there won't be any tampering with number of clubs in 1QR. It has to be 28. Right?"
There's always potential tampering!
Theoretically, of course the TH could come from a country outside the top 15, in which case the number of teams would increase.
Secondly, if Platini's plans to go ahead with the reduction of clubs from the top countries goes ahead the number of teams will go back down from the current 76 to 73.
Finally, and perhaps most pertinent to next season, is the issue of club licensing. It's still possible of course for all clubs from an association to be excluded on licensing grounds (as I think happened to Kazakhstan a few years ago). Or - of course - associations can be excluded by UEFA/FIFA. In these cases the numbers could change. |
