this is just info not critics. Nice work your site but I saw that you made some interesting changes but with some little errors. You can delete the topic when you want.
* If your watching the country ranking of the last year and you click on the next one then you get an error page.
* At some pages of team ranking not all the points after the decimals are visible.
I don't know if it is possible to put in the ranking of the years to come the teams and countries who are still competing in another color like you do it in the current ranking. |

| Maluyaca, thanks for feedback.
1) You are pointing to a new feature of the database that was added this week. Links to previous and next year's were added. Now you can easily navigate through the database. You are right about the links at the last pages that give an error. I will fix that in due time.
2) Can you give an example of a team ranking where "not all the points after the decimals are visible"?
3) In my database there is no knowledge of current domestic leagues and cups. So, in general, it is not possible to add that info automaticly on the ranking pages. For such info there are good resources avaliable at Ricardo's en Forza's websites. And in spring you may find up-to-date info on next's years qualification at this website also. |

Point 1) Ok then
Point 2)
Example that decimals are not visible. Maybe its problem at mine computer
UEFA Team Ranking 2007 02/03 03/04 04/05 05/06 06/07 rank07 1 AC Milan Ita 31.2560 16.9285 31.6200 26.0675 13.9460 119.818
I only see at the global standing of Milan until 119.81
Point 3)
What I wanted to say was if you look at the country ranking of this year you see Spain in Green because they have all teams still in competition, Romania in yellow because they still have teams in competition but not all and Bulgaria in white because they don't have teams anymore in competition. What I want to say was if you could copy that to the ranking in the future. I don't know if you understood what I wanted to say. |

| @Maluyaca, thanks for the info. The problem might be the default text size in your browser. Do you use Internet Explorer? Can you try a smaller text size in menu "View/Text size"? Does it change?
In the future I will change the default font-size of the web pages. When we all have Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox that would be easy. Those browsers allow nice text size zooming also for fixed-point font-sizes. But Internet Explorer 6 is different. Can only zoom if font sizes are specified relatively. |

You're right I had my font size on EXTRA BIG. If I use a normal font size then the problem is solved. Thank you for the solution. |

| I notice with the changes to the site it's not so nice if you wanted to print out the rankings.
Not a big issue for me personally now - although I same someone who occasionally likes to see things on paper - not just on a screen.
A few years ago when I had internet access only rarely though I would print the rankings occasionally. When the advertising moved from the right to the left side of the screen I found this meant you didn't get all the rankings on a print.
Now that the onscreen format has changed slightly so you scroll down differently I notice you now only get a print of what's on screen rather than the whole ranking too.
I'm not sure if the ability to print easily or not is an issue for the site. Perhaps not many people want to but I came across a similar situation on rsssf.com lately. When it comes to Clas Glenning's tables of overall domestic league records you have a choice to print "As laid out on screen" or "All frames individually". The second option gets you to the individual pages if you want them.
Of course there may also be a simple solution to this which I'm not aware of... |

| Copy and paste into another program? Usually lets you copy part of a screen. |

| I have used copy & paste before. Mostly from other sites but now I think about it also from here. It works fine but it does take extra time (tidying up the page ready to print as the list comes out in one lump).
It's not a great hardship - especially now as I almost never need to print anything off. But since we were discussing "bugs" I thought I might as well mention it. If I was new to the site I probably wouldn't even think about it but because I know it was so easy before and now it isn't... |

| @badgerboy, you are right. Printing is worse than before. But in my view the ability to print does not have too much priority.
There are some ways around the problem. Copy & paste to another program is one of the options. Another option is using Excel with Data/Import External Data/New Web Query. But this approach needs some more actions to present/print the number and text data in the right way.
In general I would recommend to use the new Internet Explorer 7 which has much improved zoom and print capabilities. For the ranking pages (static html) it also has the nice single-click option for Edit with Microsoft Word, which gives full control over the print layout.
Of course a Print button to show a simple page layout would also be a good option, but takes time to implement |
