| Does anyone know if there is a specific way in which the draw is split? I know obvoiusly that there are 40 seeds and 40 non-seeds, but with regards to the split in which they group 5 seeded teams against 5 non-seeded teams... is this done by region, coefficeints or is it just random.
Thanks in advance for your replies... hopefully my team (Tottenham Hotspur) will get into the seeded teams... one away right now! |

| Anyway, you must hope that one of those teams: Hapoel, CSKA or Rapid Buc. don't get through. Almost sure for Hapoel. Than you'll worry about the draw. |

| I believe that they will put first eight teams in pool n.1, next 8 teams in pool n.2, next 8 in pool n.3....until pool n.10, than pick up one team of every pool to make groups of 10 teams, 5 seeded and 5 unseeded. I saw cyprus and finns teams in last position of each 10-teams pool at the draw 2005 (there's a link on this site), and the first team it's allways a great one (top 8 - Sporting, Leverkusen, Roma, etc). If u want to be sure u must write on the names of the 40 teams in 2005 draw, than watch the database with "team ranking history) considering 2005 coefficient (or 2004, I don't know) and make the 40 ranking. |

I also think there is just a draw to determine these groups of 10 teams in the way you describe. But there is 1 restriction: 2 teams from the same country can not be in the same group (also not 2 seeded or 2 unseeded teams!!!). Some people tried to predict last years groups from the groups of 2004, but they failed in predicting, so it must be just a draw. |

| One seeded team to drop out at QR2 might not be enough to get Tottenham seeded. Because Tottenham can also drop when a seeded team loses in CL QR3 off course (for example Valencia versus Salzburg). |

| There's more than one seeded-team to go down on 24. I'm romanian, but I think (hope not) one of our teams wont get through; Tel Aviv is already out. But I don't care about Tottenham. As I sayed in another topic ("I know how UCR1 draw works"), there was no draw for 8 groups, it was pure mathematics a little bit disturbed by rule "10 different countries in each group"). I think that prediction will be 80% respected. Take a look and make your groups with numbers, than move teams from same country (only one team to switch) 2 groups up or down. |

| One thing I found strange about last year's draw.
They put CSKA in Pot 3, when I always though the Holders were supposed to be top seeds - so they should've been in Pot 1. |

Yes, that indeed was strange. But they were in Pot 1 for the groupstage draw, so UEFA did give them the seeded status, but not the top position in the "pre-draw" for R1.
That will meen that Sevilla is not nr.1, but nr. 5 in the current list. |

| For Spurs to be seeded at least 2 of the following need to qualify tomorrow: Domzale (97% chance, based on historic outcomes from 1st leg results) Hajduk Kula (70%) OFK Belgrade (56%) Sarajevo (56%) Maribor (54%) Ameri Tbilisi (44%) Beitar Jerusalem (44%) Vaduz (44%) Omonia Nicosia (30%) Flora Tallinn (30%) Mattersburg (22%) Fehervar (22%) Young Boys (14%) Ventspils (9%) Sudova Marijampole (1%) Karvan Evlakh (1%). For West Ham to be seeded at least 3 of the above need to qualify. As can be seen from the chances given, it is likely that 5 of them will qualify - but wait and see!! |

| Hajduk Kula (70%)
hajduk do have some chances to qualify though they're certainly outside ones before the start of tomorrow's match. |

| Hajduk Kula has 20-30% chances to qualify. Actually the only very likely upset is Hapoel loosing to Domzale. All others are more wishful thinking. |

| The numbers are just based on historical results starting with the first leg score I think. |
