| Question regarding Romania's ranking | |

Date: 14-07-2006, 13:00 | Perhaps there is a very simple explication, but I find it strange that Romania is behind Russia in the country ranking for 2007 but ahead in the team ranking. Which is the accurate ranking in this case? |

Date: 14-07-2006, 13:15 | Vlad, it has happened due to the UEFA's strange system of rounding for team rankings: apparently, they round down a team coefficient to 0,0005, then sum coefficients for 5 years and then round down to 0,001. Concerning country ranking, the situation is simpler: they round it down straight to 0,001. The difference in rounding sometimes leads to amusing consequences :-) Moreover, these coefficients are used for different purposes, so there is no contradiction here  |
