| The Croat- Oz 'derby' is definitely the match of the tournament.
(Croatia have 3 Australian born players in their squad; Oz have 7 of Croatian descent) |

| Ah, well... it's 2-2. I still think they (Australia) should stick to rugby. |

| Graham Poll has just blown hid chances of the final by giving 2 yellows but no red! |

| After 3 yellow cards Mr. Poll finally decided to show a red card. Got to admit it - what a guy! |

| Giuseppe: Have you seen 'Aussie Rules' football? It is played essentiaaly in the Melbourne (Victoria) area, but now there are good-ish teams across tge major cities.(It makes rugby look tame.) |

| Definitely one of the more entertaining games.
I guess it was more like a good old fashioned Premiership game or even an FA Cup tie. End to end, loads of goal mouth action, not so much "pretty passing" and defensive superiority. Dodgy refereeing, calamitous goalkeeping errors - brilliant!
I was hoping Croatia would sneak it simply because I think they stand a better chance of beating the Italians. Just hope the Aussie "blood and guts" will see them through. |
