| Two Questionable Entries at UEFA Cup | |

HB from Faroe Islands is in the list as the 3rd placed team. What happened to 2nd place team Skala IF. (European Football Pool has HB as an Intertoto Cup team. One of them is definitely wrong.) Jenis Astana from Kazakhstan is in the list as the cup winner. Bert's list tells that they didn't get UEFA License and was replaced by the cup finalist Kajrat Almaty. (RSSSF list shows Jenis Astana as the UEFA Cup team http://www.rsssf.com/tablesd/domcupeur06.html) Why would uefa take PAOK from the list off and leave Astana ? Any further info on these clubs ? |

Date: 09-06-2006, 08:06 | I have asked at Astana's guestbook (page through spam looking for my nickname if you want to see the question and the answer). The reply (presumably from a club employee) says that the UEFA's imformation is outdated and FC Astana won't participate in the UEFA Cup. |

We still don't know what happens with PAOK, Auxerre, Astana and HB Tórshavn. And the kick-off of the first games in the IT is just a week away from now Not to mention the whole circus in Italy. |
