Why is that???
Author: LevskiFan Date: 06-06-2006, 08:40	I've got a question. Last year all Bulgarian teams in the Uefa Cup started from the 2nd qualifying round, why are they starting from the 1st qualifying round this year???Somebody please explain because I don't get it! Thanks in advance

Author: conscious Date: 06-06-2006, 13:00	The secondary cause is that Bulgaria slipped from 20th to 21st position in rating. Hadn't this been the case, the cup winners would start from the 2nd QR.

In 2004 (for UEFA-cup 2005/06): 20th
In 2005 (for UEFA-cup 2006/07): 21st
In 2006 (for UEFA-cup 2007/08): 17th

So Bulgaria did slip 1 spot. The rise to 17th place in this years ranking will only have effect on the stage the teams enter in the 2007/08 UEFA-cup and CL. 17th place will see all 3 Bulgarian teams enter in QR2 in August 2007 (with a small provision made, because extra teams will have to start in QR1 if Montenegro gets their own spots in the UEFA-cup that season; but I think that will go at the expence of the country on 18th spot which now has 2 teams in QR2 and 1 in QR1, and next year probably will have all 3 in QR1).
