| Yes, Hamburg will be seeded. See Seeding in the Champions League 2006/2007.
This year the first unseeded team will have a coefficient of 28.xxx or lower. That is the lowest value since 2000.First unseeded team in QR3 ----------------------------------------- 2006 ?? { 28.xxx 2005 Slavia Praha Cze 35.223 2004 Wisla Kraków ** Pol 31.177 2003 Slavia Praha ** Cze 48.975 2002 Sporting CP Lisbon Por 34.124 2001 Panathinaikos Gre 37.183 2000 Hamburger SV Ger 30.201 |

| I think the 28.xxx is good enough. (not lower): It is either: Slovan Liberec 28.769, Fenerbahce 28.634 or Fiorentina 28.020 |

| The highest unseeded team with the lowest points could be Austria Wien with 27.723 |

This year we will probaly have: Mlada Boleslav Cze 8.769
as last seeded team. |

| Yes, I was wrong. Levski can be replaced by CSKA or Litex, who would be unseeded, which would make Fiorentina(If they will play CL) seeded. |

| Is anything to be concluded from the seeded threshold going up or down?
Or can we only look at it in terms of the average co-effs?
I mean, there could just be bunchin at a different point of the list, so to speak. |

Edited by: Todor at: 15-05-2006, 18:07 | I think the treshold is lower this year , because teams like Dinamo , Shakhtar,Galatasaray and the Polish teams had a bad year , which decreased their coefficients. Also Rosenborg and Sparta Prague are out , and their replacements have lower coefficients. Had 3 or 4 of those had a good year the treshold would have been much higher. |

| yes, I understand.
The absolute numbers of teams involved are not that big, and there will always already be a few teams, like Inter or Liverpool, with very high coeffs; it takes only a relatively few teams with low co-eff to qualify to lower the seeding threshold- e.g. Scotland: Hearts co-eff much lower than Rangers. |

It will be opponent of Kiew, Levski, Fenerbahce and maybe Rapid or Steaua |

| So true Ricardo - despite the fact I have read a lot of times now that 'draw for QR3 takes place before the ties for QR2 are resolved' I forgot that the true 'lowest seed' is also not known till the ties are played! |

| Sorry RIcardo but Artemedia took Celtic Coefficient, I beleive the lowest seed was somewhere in the 35 last year. |

| @Hejazia
Ricardo said it was a TRICK question! We know that the unseeded team takes the seeded team's co-eff because of when the draw is made. I presume the Ricardo point is:
'prediction of the seeding threshold can only be a fuzzy result, because any team causing an upset is in an anomalous place within the draw.' |
