It OM: it's not sure cause if we decide not to participate it means that auxerre,rennes etc could replace us.

why should OM not partcipate this year? Less games to go to UEFA and teams like OM have real chances to get there this year...

Foot - L1 : Auxerre jouera l'Intertoto

-> I don't understand,two french clubs in Intertoto ?

This article is talking about the desistance of a foreign club. And Auxerre would benefit from it.

it may be that Auxerre replace the italian team that will not take place in the competition for the known story...

For me the most strange thing is that they enter in the 3rd round of the intertoto??? That was supposed to not happen anymore for a seocnd team of a country....

that's precisely what i mean... it took the place of the italian team, that was supposed to begin in 3rd round

I think that if the story is correct then first Deportivo and second Bolton would have a bit to say about it. The first reserve is supposed to come from the highest ranked country and - although I'm sure English clubs (and suspect Spanish too) wouldn't want to start in Round 1 I'd think they'd jump at entering in R3, so if UEFA has changed the rules at the last minute I'd expect a small fuss!

Most likely the story on the website is half correct but Auxerre has to start in R1. Hope someone knows the truth because they have less than two weeks to get ready...

More teams {a href="http://www.uicteams.ch/index.php"> here {/a>

Interesting:

Zeta Golubovci for SCG (I thought they will end their affairs with Serbia&Montenegru)

38 teams so far.

The rule that an additional team
from an association will always enter the first round of the
competition is not possible unless you make a new draw. But the draw was held before the participants are known. Therefore I have never understand this rule.

@mabo

A new draw isn't needed, but you have to move 2 teams to a later round. The Scottish team to the 3rd round and the Romanian team to the 2nd round. Only problem with this is that teams will end up outside their region: the Scottish team would play the Bulgarian/Macedonian or 2nd team of ???; the Romanian team would play the Latvian/Faroer team.

@executor

Zeta did earn their spot via the last joint Serbian-Montenegrin league, so it would be strange if suddenly they would have to give their place to another team.

Funny that Jean Fernandez, who didn't want to play the UIC with Marseille will play it with Auxerre (he joined Auxerre this month)

because marseille and auxerre doisent target the same rank in league and it's sur that intertoto is a burden to finish the league.

Deportivo refused to play intertoto starting in 1st round, but they would have accepted for sure a place in 3rd round.

I think they will argue if Auxerre enters 3rd round.

Please tell me where can i find the link which confirms that Deportivo La Coruna have rejected the participation in Intertoto after being proposed to enter from round one. It's important because that means that Auxerre should start from round one as well

I read in German teletext (ARD) that the italian federation won't participate in UI-Cup unless all about the "affair" has been cleared. Won't they participate in UEFA-Cup and Championsleague either if the "affair" is still running?
But in fact, Auxerre just takes the place of Palermo.

i don't think this will happen, if the 'affair' is not closed i suppose the classification at the end of the season is still valid... but i'm almost sure that they will arrive at a decision for that time (Palermo has renounced to UIC for the UEFA...)
