I thought at the start of this season it had been announced Serie A would scrap the playoffs and decide things on goal difference if teams finished level on points but I can't find anything to confirm this.

Does anyone know the current rules on what will happen if both teams finish level on points next week? Do Milan win the title or is it a playoff?

Also would Roma and Fiorentina playoff for the last CL place or would it go to GD? I assume the same rules would apply but maybe it would be different because it is not for the title.

Author: hejazia Date: 08-05-2006, 18:09	Yes if there a draw on points there will not be the usual spareggio this year due to the world cup and the need to finish the league early. If there is a draw Milan will be champs on goal difference.
