All heil to Barca then.

I've been under the impression that Milan was dominating EuroFootball in the last few years, but the stats show the Catalan giants' clear advantage.

Sorry if I'm getting off-topic, but I can't fail to notice that

So your point is?

Yes on a more acurate TOP for 5 years, Steaua is on 21th place instead of 42th place in the current top. This whithout guarantee CL matches direct in groups.

We can aslo observe teams in this top, in the first 20 positions, teams that lost for some time the european contact, like : Deportivo La Coruna, FC Brugge, Panathinaikos Athena. So you may cosindering of taking a lesser period of time than 5 years, for more acurate results.

I will be glad to suply another good ideas in the future.

And one more thing, i know that you appreciate my opinions, like i apprecite yours, but using my nick in the topic title look more like a deficient education, than a "inteligent" abreviation.

With this STK-ranking, I see Belgian football very good on track.
Brugge 16th, Anderlecht 29th.
I really don't think they diserve such a high ranking.
This is only because these 2 teams plays every year European football + because they had the right/obligation to play quali's.

Playing qualis is not considered to be great fun, but it helps some countries to gain "easy points".
Even Romenia gets 1/4 of it point out of these easy qualification games.

Well, Belgian Football comes up 8-12th w/ 2 teams in the top50... I guess that's pretty reasonable after all. I would have been surprised if they were lower than 15th in Europe.

@STK: no offence was intended - lighten up (you are making progress!),

I suggest you read the thread submitted by doctor beginning "I have a solution ...".

PS. Do you know that Boro's goalkeeper was injured (fractured cheekbone) shortly before halftime in yesterday's FA Cup Semi-Final? I think he (Mark Schwarzer) was the main reason Steaua's domination last week only provided a single goal, so 3 could be possible in the away leg...
Schwarzer is expected to be OK for World Cup (in which he got Australia through in the play-off against Uruguay).
After Thursday's UEFA Cup match, Boro are home to Everton on SATURDAY, then away to Manchester United on Monday and Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday - a busy week!!

@MalcolmW
I generally disagree with the ranking you posted, because you can't just eliminate the fact that teams, which start in later qualification rounds or are directly seeded in CL groups, will be at disadvantage with your system. They have less "pure" points not because they are "weak", but because they have less matches to play... and win.

...and that way it is a bonus included for teams wich into eurocup in the later stage.
