From the first link at the Qualification Page:

Bnei Yehuda will face Maccabi Haifa in the semifinals of the State-cup. The semifinals will take place in Ramat Gan on April 26 at 17:15. The other game is between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Bnei Sachnin.

Does anyone know if the rule that the loser of the final won't qualify for Uefa if the winner gets a direct spot to the CL is changed.

They were talking about it to get it on not this year but next year but did they do it?

For this year that lower division team of scotland has a change to get into Uefa if Hearts stay second and what if it would happen again next year?

I haven't read anything about a desicion on that subject. But if they make that change they should do it soon, because the first Cup final of the new season is in July/August (Faroer).

In today's 1st semifinal of the German cup, Eintracht Frankfurt won 1-0 from Arminia Bielefeld.

This means that, if Bayern Munich will reach the final tomorrow, too, Frankfurt will be qualified for UC R1, of course unseeded.

France (quarters):
PSG v Lille 2-1
OL v OM 1-2 (what a pity, Lyonnais )
Tomorrow:
Rennes v Montpellier
Calais v Nantes

So, the CW spot seems to be taken by the winner and not to fall to the 5th of the Ligue 1.

Except when Rennes wins the Cup and finish 4th.

Belgian Cup SF 2nd leg:
Mouscron-Charleroi 1-1 (first leg 1-0)
tonight:
Zulte Waregem-Standard (first leg 2-1)

Thx Ralfinho. Yes, as our President said yesterday, we should not play anymore on Tuesdays as it is not our day.
However, it is a classic to see a team losing everything in one week (Leverkusen in 2002, Leeds in the 1975, etc.). At least, and that's fortunate, the title is almost won.
Furthermore, I notice that all teams that have been eliminated in the Champions League tend to suffer afterwards as the disappointment is huge (Chelsea, Bayern and nowadays Lyon).

Bulgarian Cup 1/4 finals:
CSKA - Beroe 4:1 - CSKA to semi
Shumen (2) - Rilski Sportist (2) 2:1 AET - Shumen to semi
Pirin 1922 - Naftex 4:5 on penalties - Naftex to semi
Vihren - Cherno More 0:2 AET - Cherno More to semi

Draw for semi-finals is on April 27th. The semis (1 match only) are on May 3rd.
From all 4 teams in the semis only CSKA can qualify for european football through the league.

In Germany, Bayern Munich have just beaten a brave FC St. Pauli 3-0.

This sounds like an easy victory but it wasn't. St. Pauli dominated much of the 2nd half and could easily have scored an equaliser.

Goals: Hargreaves (15'), Pizarro (84', 90')

As ralfinho has explained before, Bayern's victory means that Eintracht Frankfurt, being the other finalist, have now qualified for UEFA cup.

Semi-finals:

Charleroi - Moeskroen 0 - 1 & 1 - 1
Standard - Zulte Waregem 1 - 2 & 0 - 1 (Zulte goes true on away goals)

Belgian Final: Zulte Waregem - Excelsior Moeskroen

Greek Cup:
Larissa-Olympiakos: 0-1 (aggregate: 1-4)
Agrotikos Asteras-AEK: 1-0 (aggregate: 1-3)
So the final is Olympiakos-AEK and the club that finishes sixth in the league gets the UC spot.

Italy:
Final will be Roma - Inter (same as 2005).
This means that the 7th of the Seria A will qualify for UC.

Spain:
Espanyol won the cup v. Zaragoza (4-1) and thus is qualified for UC. The 7th of the Primera División will be out of UC.

Lyonnais,
I see another parallel, between Chelsea, Juve and Bayern (not OL):
All of them had a very good season before Christmas and were clearly underperforming afterwards (in CL and the domestic league). Just coincidence?

Middlesbro - UEFA Cup semi-finalists - are now also FA Cup semi-finalists after beating Charlton 4-2 in a replay. The winner of their semi-final with West Ham will pretty much be guaranteed a UEFA Cup place.

Elsewhere - Metalurg Zaporizhaya have qualified for the UEFA Cup as they play Ukrainian Cup final against Dynamo Kyiv.

Last four in Russia are CSKA, Spartak, Zenit and Saturn.

Sparta Prague and Banik Ostrava are through to the semi-finals in the Czech Republic.

Red Star play OFK in the Serbian final - probably a UEFA Cup place for OFK.

Ruzomberok knocked artmedia out of the Slovakian Cup on penalties and play Spartak Trnava in the final.

Bosnian final will be Siroki Brijeg v Orasje.

So this means the following for Russian UEFA-cup teams:

2.Rubin Kazan if the Cup final is CSKA-Spartak. If there is another final Zenit or Saturn is the 2nd UEFA-cup team.

As far as I know, the final of the Romanian Cup has been postponed for June 7th.

I have a question.... what happens if:
- Steaua wins the UEFA Cup and finishes the Romanian championship on the 3rd place (or lower)
- Dinamo finishes on 2nd place (or any other team for that matter... i'm using them just as an example)
- National wins the Romanian cup

Who qualifies for the UEFA Cup? Is it:
A) Steaua (title holders) and Dinamo (2nd in Divizia A)?
B) Steaua (title holders) and National (Romanian Cup winners)?
C) Steaua (title holders), Dinamo (2nd in Divizia A) and National (Romanian Cup winners)?
D) none of the above

Thanks :D

Christi is correct I think except if Steaua finish LOWER than third AND win the UEFA Cup and National win the cup and finish second in which case the third placed Romanian team also play in the UEFA Cup.
An unlikely scenario I think - even if Steaua don't win the league I can't see them finishing lower than third!

Danish cup semi finals return legs.

AaB - Randers 1-1 (1-1 agg) Randers in the final for the 1st time since 1973 and they are currently a 2nd league team, but they will surely be promoted this season.

Brøndby - Esbjerg 1-0 (3-5 agg) Esbjerg in its first final since 1985, so two teams with a great history but not so prominent present will team up in the final.

This also means that FCK and Brøndby will finish 1st and 2nd in the league and take the ChL spot and 1 UEFA cup spot, the cup winner will take the other UEFA spot and the winner of the race for third between OB and Viborg will go to the TOTO cup.

Bulgarian final will be CSKA - Cherno More. Currently the venue is under discussion. Under BFU regulations the final should be played in Sofia (National Stadium "V.Levski"), but Cherno More want to play it in a neutral city somewhere in Central Bulgaria. Funny enough Cherno More and CSKA play this saturday in the championship. If your local bookie offers this match you should play it a sure win for CSKA as it's in Cherno More's interest that CSKA wins the title and they already announced that they will use the reserve players only

Turkish Cup Final - Fenerbahce 2-3 Besiktas aet

Russian Cup Semi-Finals 1st Leg - CSKA 1-0 Zenit

Ukrainian Cup Final - D. Kiev 1-0 Zaporizhya

Polish Cup Final 2nd Leg - Plock 3-1 Zaglebie (6-3 agg)

Croatian Cup Final 2nd Leg - Varteks 5-1 Rijeka. BUT agg 5-5! Assuming away goals count then Rijeka win it!

Hungarian Cup Final will be Feherevar v Vasas.

Cypriot Cup Final will be AEK Larnaca v APOEL

Georgian Cup Final will be Ameri Tbilisi v Zestafoni

Estonian Cup Final will be TVMK v Flora

Strange things have been happening in Azerbaijan where Karabakh Agdam have reached the final. I believe the first-leg of the original second semi-final ended Karvan 1-0 MKT Araz but since then MKT have been kicked out for playing too many foreigners in their squad. The team they beat in the quarters - Khazar Lenkoran - have been repreived and beat Karvan 1-0 in the first leg of the revised semi-final yesterday.

Strange indeed Funny enough Cherno More probably burried their own hopes of a UEFA Cup place with this match as the venue dispute has been settled and the match will be in Sofia. It's hardly possible for them to win the Cup so actually the better chance was to hope for a CSKA title. Now we can say with 99.99% confidence that Levski are the new champs.

But didn't they just hold the very team they have to play in the final to a draw? Of course CSKA will be favorites - but a one off match a foregone conclusion?

Yes, and that match will be in Sofia. Cherno More have 10 wins against CSKA in their entire history and only of them 1 was in Sofia. If you know bulgarian football, you would know that chances for Cherno More in the Cup final are around 10%. Todays game was a joke. Cherno More didn't have a single shot at goal. They wanted a 0:0 and were lucky enough to get it.
Actually I have nothing against Cherno More winning the Cup. At least they will have a full stadium for their european adventures while Loko Sofia would play in front of 2000 ppl.

Danish cup final tonight:

Esbjerg - Randers 0-1 AET Randers from the 1st division stunned Esbjerg from the Superliga with a goal 5 mins before the pso. This means that Denmark (as well as Sweden) will have a 2nd league side in the Euro cups next season. This is probably not very good for the Scandinavian countries, but the question is whether these teams will be able to perform worse than what the 3rd teams usually do in these counties. i doubt it... At least, randers is likely to win promotion this season and be a Superliga side when they play in Europe this summer. But I still think that the big teams (FCK, Brøndby, IFK Göteborg, Djurgården) will have to win most of the points for Sweden and Denmark next season, and their success or failure should actually be more important than if Randers and Åtvidaberg are a lot worse than Esbjerg and the team that would have got the place in Sweden if not for Åtvidaberg.
