| Well, in a thrilling saturday afternoon, The 1st place (Start Kristiansand) gets surprised at home by a suffocated avoid.relegation candidate, and Valerenga with an away draw just squeezed in for the title!! Lyn last effort was remarkable but not enough!! That gives us:
1 Valerenga 46 (CL QL) 2 Kristiansand 45 (UC) 3 Lyn 44 (UC)
Beloved Anita Rosenborg sink itself in 7th place with 34 points, the same as Tromso but better goal average.
The historic Molde (was in CL some years ago), just sinked and has to play a relegation play off now.
What do you think about this, especially Anita? A fair championship? Different one? What are the perspectives for these "new" teams in Europe? (well Valerenga this year almost made it, so...) |

However, I guess Valerenga deserved it after they came agonisingly close last year. Guess their strategy against Steaua was worth it in the end ![](include/smilies/s2.gif) |

Edited by: anita at: 30-10-2005, 00:20 | Bad news for Sweden and Djurgarden. They are now out of a seeded place in next years (preliminary ranking) CLQ2, and will probably stay out. They may have had a chance if Start had won NOR PL. There is a gigantic difference between seeded and unseeded teams in CLQ2.
Valerenga will probably stay seeded. Afai can see, the only team that can threaten them from below, is Debrecen, if they win HUN PL.
Edit: Just now Djurgarden is still seeded in CLQ2 with coeff 9.372, since Salzburg (8.723) took the lead in AUT PL tonite. |

Edited by: anita at: 29-10-2005, 23:46 | Meaning that (preliminary rankings), Valerenga will start as seeded in CLQ2, Lyn (seeded), Start (unseeded), and the cup winner of Lillestrom (unseeded) OR Molde (seeded) will start in UCQ2. But in UCQ2 there are(or?) regional seedings as well, and all Norwegian teams may be seeded when we come down to that.
I presume that if Molde win the cup final, Lillestrom will start in Intertoto if they want. Or Viking if Lillestrom win. Norwegian teams have been very reluctant to that tournament because it is mid-season and small chances of qualifying to UEFA-cup. But with new rules (more teams qualifying for UEFA-cup) I presume IT-cup will be more interesting.
I have been trying to find some info on which NOR PL team that won the FairPlay-competition. One could hope for Rosenborg, but I doubt it. Anyone have info? |

Edited by: Ricardo at: 31-10-2005, 09:49 | Valerenga is the first seeded, They can still be passed by Hungarian champion(if Debrecen (or Ferencfaros, but they are currently very low)) and by Slovakian champion(if Artmedia, and if Artmedia gets another point in their CL-group)
Also congratulations to Pyunik and TVMK for winning their Championship! 10 down, 3 more summerchampionships to go(Russia, Ireland and Kazakhstan) |

Edited by: Osirius at: 31-10-2005, 10:59 | BTW in russian press appeared that there is possabilaty starting from 2006 Russian PL to be played autumne - spring regulation. In 2006 20 games to be played from april to october and then in 2007 from april to june last 10 games to play. After this there was nothing told but I presume that next season will start in august to november and from middle march to june. |

| Congrats to Valerenga and especially to Kjetil Rekdal. He was very much appreciated during his Berlin years. |

| well anita, if salzburg wins in austria they will start in qr3, so they will have nothing to do with seeding in qr2
djurgarden must rather hope that pasching finishes 2nd, instead of austria wien, gak, or rapid |

| Congratulations to Valerenga!
I was really hoping for their fans that VIF would win the title.
This is because the Valerange fans were so nice when they played against my favourite team Club Brugge. |

Edited by: Kronsky at: 04-11-2005, 16:54 | Bad news for Sweden but good news for Poland As for now, Wisla is seeded in CLQ3 having lot of teams behind them. Rosenborg gave Wisla one position forward to their dream that is still alive... Well, maybee not so realistic, but still...And Rosenborg, I recon that they will make great comeback next year! Somehow, the name of Vålerenga have some bitter taste ![](include/smilies/s2.gif)
